Our Premium PreMounted™ Conga Heads are natural skins that are mounted on 1/4″ round 304 stainless steel flesh hoops. They are designed to fit drums with specific shell sizes and crown types right out of the box.
A wide variety of skin types, thicknesses and three color options make your PreMounted™ heads fully customizable to suit any application.
Skin thickness is recommended relative to the shell size- the larger the shell, the thicker the skin. This produces a balanced sound across the entire set of drums.

The insides of our solid shell congas are shaped with features to perfect the tones as well as to add a great deal of strength to the shell. From the bearing edge with its built in alma, to the textures and ridges which remove any bad overtones, to the Venturi shaped volume and bass boosting sound hole, every aspect of the resonating chamber is painstakingly sculpted for the sweetest tones possible!
Black Gold™ Buffalo is Brazilian, and available in natural, amber and chocolate colors. On congas, it produces warm to very dry tones and rich bass. It also has medium to low action and a slightly dimpled supple playing surface.
Skin thickness is recommended relative to the shell size- the larger the shell, the thicker the skin. This produces a balanced sound across the entire set of drums.
