We recently received a set of LP metal badge Garfield, NJ bongos from a customer in Japan. Manito repaired cracks in the shell, made a custom Padauk wood center block and fabricated new 304 stainless steel flesh hoops. I upgraded the skins to steer- 1mm thick on the 7-1/4″ macho, 1.6mm thick on the 8-5/8″ hembra. I also cleaned and lubricated the tuning lugs.
