Blackened Lenke Wood Djembe with Stainless Steel Hardware
This gorgeous Lenke wood shell was hand carved in Guinea by the master artisan team at Drumskull Drums and finish turned on a wood lathe by Manito. The pores have been blackened for a deep contrasting grain. The inside was left with the expert hand carved texture for an authentic tone. The finish is a high strength acrylic clear coat hand polished to a high shine.
This djembe comes with 3 PreMounted™ heads: one cow skin (1.3mm), one calf skin (1mm), and one thick goat skin (0.8mm). The heads can be easily swapped in minutes for a quickly customizable tone selection.
It also includes 3 longer stainless steel mounting lugs for easy mounting of new heads.
The hardware setup is handmade in our shop and features all stainless steel construction. The crown rim is made of half round material to stay tucked out of the way of your hands.
Tuning this djembe is easy and fast! With 6 high strength stainless steel tuning lugs, it can go from low bottom end to a screaming lead drum in seconds.
It has a 7/16″ flat rubber bottom.
